ISES Portland Oregon Chapter
A Message from our ISES Portland President
Hello ISES Portland!
I hope you all had a wonderful holiday season! 2012 is here, and that means more great education and networking from ISES!
Our Programs Team is working hard to put together some wonderful events, including "Pimp My Warehouse," which will be coming to you again in April, our annual ISES field trip in June, and many other fun and educational events that we just can’t tell you about yet. ;)
If you’re new to ISES, or just haven’t been in a while, keep your eyes peeled for our emails, and sign up for one of our monthly programs. Make it your New Year’s Resolution to go forth and network – and learn more about your industry along the way!
I look forward to seeing each and every one of you at one of our meetings!
Happy New Year!!

Join us for our first event of 2012 at the Helium Comedy Club.
It's a new year, a new dawn. A fresh start, and there's no better time than now to freshen things up and try something new.
This event is perfect for non-profits and vendors who support non-profits. We will talk about new trends in fundraising events and how to flip your tired old event on it's head to make for the biggest impact.
Samantha Swaim Fundraising will moderate a panel of non-profit organizations who made big changes in 2011 and saw big results. As you get ready for 2012, join us for this event and learn from the experts about how to design an event to match your audience and maximize your revenue.
Let us paint a picture for you: You've either gone to or been invited to a zillion fundraisers in your lifetime, most of which are blurred together because they weren't unique and they didn't stand out from the rest. Your annual fundraiser is just around the corner, and you're feeling "blah" about the theme, the goals, the menu, the....everything!
Isn't it time for something fresh? Something you haven't tried already?
Now is the time to reformat your fundraiser, break the mold, and re-design your event!
Here's an idea: why not let ISES Portland and our expert fundraiser panelists help you create something that is designed specifically for your audience. You know who you're inviting, now let's create an event around them and throw a fundraiser they'll never forget!
Lunch will be provided by the ever-fabulous Pearl Catering!
Parking Options at Helium:
There is a public parking lot located 4 blocks from Helium on Hawthorne and Grand; parking is limited and costs $.99/hr.
A limited number of temporary Zone G permits will be available at the Helium entrance prior to the event for on-street parking at or near Helium. First come, first serve.
